Fawn, Legal Aid Intake Worker
Fawn is a well-known presence around the Smithers and Hazelton Courthouses. It is not uncommon to hear the Justice of the Peace instruct an accused person on first appearance to “go see Fawn to apply for legal aid!” Fawn handles the process of criminal legal aid intake and assists duty council on criminal matters. In addition, she helps run USCLAS by providing administrative assistance and reception to clients.
Fawn has been with USCLAS since 2008 and is inspired by it because she enjoys helping her community and because it is good experience for her future career as a youth counsellor.
